Ravello (Ravièllo in Campanian dialect) is an Italian municipality of 2,381 inhabitants[1] in the province of Salerno in Campania.
It is part of the Amalfi Coast (registered as a UNESCO world heritage site since 1997[4]), of which it is a renowned tourist and cultural centre. Known by the nickname “City of Music”[5], it is home to the Ravello Festival which is held in the gardens of Villa Rufolo and in the Oscar Niemeyer auditorium.
